Unsurprisingly, the young people of the Liverpool City Region are not shy about sharing the views of their generation, and how decisions made now, may affect the young people of tomorrow.

  • So recently, on a Saturday morning, members of our Youth Combined Authority (YCA) joined other young people at Mann Island for their Youth Quake event to discuss key issues for the city region.

  • The YCA empowers the voice of young people across the six boroughs of the Liverpool City Region by giving them the opportunity to influence decision-makers.

  • The group regularly share their thoughts and opinions with policy leads at the Combined Authority so the ‘youth voice’ is included across five key areas of the organisation: Economical Development and Growth, Employment and Skills, Energy and the Environment, Culture and Transport.

  • The Youth Combined Authority is made up of young people aged between 13 and 18 (or 13 and 25 if they have special educational needs and or a disability) who live in Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens or Wirral. Find out more or apply to join here.
